Microsoft stops employees from using the words ‘Palestine’, ‘Gaza’ and ‘Genocide’ in internal emails: report

Microsoft has forbidden its employees from using the words “Palestine”, “Gaza” or “genocide” in its internal email system as the technology giant seems to hit the unrest within its ranks after the company’s connections protests with Israel.

The company has quietly implemented a filter in its internal email exchange system that blocks messages containing politically charged words without notifying the sender or recipient, according to a report by Dropsite News.

Microsoft has been destroyed in recent months by demonstrations staged by a group of charming employees for Palestinians.

The activist group known as “No Azure for Apartheid” has requested that management interrupt links with the Israeli government and army.

Microsoft Azure is the Microsoft computing platform and infrastructure, providing a wide range of services, including computing power, storage, databases, networking, artificial intelligence and analytics.

An investigation by some news media revealed that the Azure platform was used by various branches of the Israeli army – not only for administrative purposes, but also for combat and intelligence activities.

The leaked documents showed that Microsoft entered the agreement worth approximately $ 10 million to provide thousands of hours of technical support during the Gaza conflict.

Microsoft employees who count themselves as “non -Azure for apartheid” members told DresSite News that they first noticed filters on Wednesday – just days after they organized a protest that disrupted the annual conference of company construction developers.

According to the group, terms such as “Israel” or changed pronunciations as “P4lelele” have not been banned, raising concerns that the company is selectively silent one side of the debate.

The post has requested comment from Microsoft.

Despite the reaction, Microsoft has stayed with his partnerships with Israel.

“We engage with governments around the world to provide secure, reliable cloud services,” a senior official for Dropsite News told the background.

“These commitments are subject to legal, ethical and security reviews to ensure that they match our principles.”

Just before the construction event, Microsoft issued an internal report, saying that it found “no evidence that Azure and he Technologies of Microsoft, or any of our other software, were used to harm people.”

The report was seen as an attempt to calm the tensions between the raised control and the increasing opposition of employees.
