Although there are only 13 rooms, the historical hedges inn – which sits at the entrance to East Hampton Village and beyond its idyllic basin – has made excess titles in the past year.

Scott Sartiano, the man behind the private club packaged zero bond, renting Inn last summer in the hope of starting a spinoff club. He was received with insurmountable resistance by village officials and residents, who were afraid of a nightlife vibe and its noise and companion traffic. After a series of opposition, his rent was not renewed.

Now the new bed and fast owners, Sarah and Andrew Wetenhall, have been welcomed with open wings. It is not damaged that Wetenhalls had a home in East Hampton for 15 years (until 2021) and also turned the Colony Hotel into a wild Palm Beach destination, where New York vacation and locals alike in its restaurant Swift “and its annoying trivia and bingo nights.
