Microsoft Backs ‘Fortnite’ Maker Epic Games in Legal Feud, claims Apple plans ‘Stimed’ for Xbox Mobile Store

Microsoft has supported the Epic Games Games Games in his legal battle with Apple-claiming in a new court that my Cook technology giant has “stimulated” its efforts to create an Xbox Mobile store.

In an amicus summary presented late Tuesday to the Federal Court of California, Microsoft said Apple’s constraints had prevented him from “issuing his own online store” and argued that Apple’s order should be implemented during the Appeal process.

“The district court order allows Apple to maintain its exclusivity within the app, but at least it must have enabled Microsoft to provide consumers with a solution applicable by launching its online stores through connecting-that items within the app are purchased out of the app and used in games or other applications,” Microsoft’s lawyer told Microsoft.

“This is what Microsoft wants to do. But even this solution is stimulated by Apple,” the appearance added.

Apple is already facing high heat by US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, who referred to the firm for possible criminal charges by the Department of Justice to deliberately violate a 2021 order, demanding that it facilitate restrictions on third -party applications developers.

Apple has sought a temporary stance awaiting his appeal for the contempt decision, arguing that he could lose “billions” if left in the country.

Rogers demanded Tuesday to explain why he did not respect the order ordered by the court and warned that Apple’s “personally responsible for ensuring compliance” would have to appear in court on May 27 if the case was not resolved.

Microsoft noted that the order is also needed to continue with plans to add new features to the Xbox primary app for Apple customers.

“Similarly, Microsoft has long sought to enable Xbox app users in iOS to buy games and broadcast games in the cloud or other devices,” Microsoft said in the folder. “Apple’s policies have limited Microsoft’s ability to provide these functionalities together; the order allows Microsoft to explore this opportunity.”

Meanwhile, “Fortnite” returned to the app store after a nearly five-year-old ban on Tuesday-week after Rogers first publicly exploded Apple for inconsistencies on April 30.
