The controversial journalist Taylor Lorenz withdrew to former President Joe Biden after news of his cancer diagnosis, saying “Hopefully he Rots in hell and stands in piss”.
Former Washington Post reporter and New York Times collided with X on Monday, the day after the 82-year-old ill Biden revealed that he was fighting with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
Along with her back post on social media, Lorenz added a picture of a 2019 satirical article holding the title: “Joe Biden: It would be an insult to my deceased boy so that everyone will have health care.”
The article was originally published as a Facetious critic of Biden’s health care attitude during the democratic beginning of 2020.
He misused his remarks about the preservation of private insurance – remarks that were widely debated at the time, but never included the quotation attributed to the title. While community notes on X quickly clarified, “Biden never said the phrase used in the title. The post is based on a satirical abuse.”
The Biden campaign refused to comment on her remarks.
The pro-Palestinian writer doubled in her attack on Biden when she was contacted by a post for her former president’s lack of compassion.
“Joe Biden is a war criminal who personally sanctioned the genocide of tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians, including countless cancer patients,” withdrew Lorenz on Tuesday.
She continued to claim that “Biden is responsible for at least 1 million deaths from Covid and hit millions, including cancer patients, outside of health in the midst of a rabid pandemia. He forced people to return to work without work.”
“My sympathies will always stay with the innocent people Biden has killed and incompetence, no more semant genocide that sanctions their death,” she added.
Lorenz was driven by the Washington Post last year after cheating its editors for a special incident that included Biden. Last August, she posted a selfie from a White House event in her Instagram history with the title: “War Criminal :(” while Biden appeared in the background.
When it was questioned, Lorenz initially denied posting the image before accepting it later, causing internal disciplinary measures and contributing to leaving the newspaper two months later.
She started her independent newspapers and continued to get shots at Biden.
In April, she responded to a false untrue style post that Biden had died writing, “This tweet took my hopes :(“
The original post, which read “RIP Joe Biden 1942-2025. You were always a racist F -King monster, and would not be missing”, was clearly fabricated, but Lorenz’s reaction left little to her personal feelings.
Lorenz also withdrew the contempt last December for seemingly cheering for the killing of CEO of UNITEHealthcare Brian Thompson.
She said some Americans felt “joy” about killing outside a manhattan hotel in the middle of the city. She later protected remarks by mentioning the denial of care by large insurance companies and her experiences with chronic illness.
Lorenz has also said positive things about Thompson’s alleged killer Luigi Mangione, praising him as a “good moral man”.

Her employer at the time, Vox Media, distanced himself from her comments, and Lorenz later confirmed that her podcast would no longer be distributed through the network – though she claimed she had always worked independently.
