It’s no secret that former ESPN colleagues Ryan Clark and Sage Stele are not the best friends, but Stele probably made her boldest comment to the former NFL player until today on Tuesday.
In his latest edition of his podcast, Clark suggested that former NFL defender Robert Griffin III is “no home conversation about what black women should endure in this country” given that his wife is white.
Clark made the comment as he called Griffin for riding on the “hate train” after Angel Reese’s clash with Caitlin Clark over the weekend.
Ryan Clark also mentioned Dave Portnoy and former -staff of Espn Keith Olbermann as heads that speak to make Reese be a “clerk” and “heroic” Clark.
Stele caught the smell of Clark’s comments.
“Another comment without class, divisive, gross, unnecessary by Ryan Clark. But … is primary to the course. We should not expect anything less. Shameful,” Stele posted on X.
Griffin later said Ryan Clark’s comments showed “how low a person is he”.
Stele and Ryan Clark have had a beef in the past. Clark has said he had no “no problem” with Sourele being a conservative, but one of Stele’s previous comments about former President Barack Obama “offended” him.
As a result, he asked for another host for an ESPN segment.
Stele is sued ESPN, and one of her accusations is that Clark refused to work with her because of her political views.
Stele once said it was “interesting” that Obama labeled himself as “black” “given his black father was nowhere, but his white mother and grandmother raised him.”

“Because what I know is … Chemistry is a large part of the TV. It’s a large part of our ability to be able to entertain. And I didn’t want my embarrassment with what she said to show on screen,” Ryan Clark said.
Ryan Clark said it was one thing once with stele, and they were able to “work … in a very heartfelt way” until she left ESPN.
He added that they no longer speak, “But I undoubtedly wish her all the best in all her efforts.”
Caitlin Clark was rated a flagrant foul on the mentioned show, and, during an interview in the game, she said it was a “good taking”, a notion that Reese later agreed.
Indiana’s Caitlin Clark fever led the Chicago Sky of Reese, 93-58.
