CBS News quietly overthrew three high -level positions in front of a large round of vacation throughout the parent company Global that is expected to begin this summer, the post has learned.
Embedded Tiffany Network – who has seen ratings plunged into his morning show program and news evening, and is being sued by President Trump for $ 20 billion over the controversial “60 -minute” Harris interview – fired two CBS News Bureau chiefs and one high executive on Wednesday, sources said.
Andre Rodriguez, the NYC -based North Bureau chief and Maryhelen Campa, chief of the southern region Bureau, were released, according to the interiors.
Both had spent two decades in the company.
Chad Cross, senior vice president of the Beats & Enterprise unit, was also conserved, sources added.
He joined CBS News in 2022.
“It’s a simple act,” said a source close to the situation.
The cuts are being described within “organizational changes to centralize the internal news process” – and “not an indication of something greater,” the source added.
Another CBS interior said the network has no “no fat to cut”.
“If someone calls in the sick, everyone feels it,” the person added.
CBS News refused to comment.
The cuts come in the middle of a report by The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday late that Paramount will begin lowering jobs next month on an offer after expecting the Skydance merger of $ 8 billion.
The mass logs would follow last year’s brutal blood, in which Paramount fired thousands of employees as part of a $ 500 million cost reduction plan.
Paramount, who also operates his name of Hollywood Studio, MTV and Showtime, has faced obstacles to close the Skydance agreement by President Trump and the Federal Communications Commission.
Currently, Paramount is in talks with Trump’s lawyers about his $ 20 billion lawsuit over editing his “60 minutes” of landing with former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump FCC leader Brendan Carr is also considering the issue.
The magazine also reported that George Cheeks, Co-Co-Celeo of Paramount Global and CBS CEO, is helping to negotiate the solution after Shari Redstone’s controller’s shareholder pushes for a resolution. The cheeks are expected to reduce a high job after Skydance close the deal, the post reported in March.
Trump is reportedly looking for $ 100 million to resolve the lawsuit – much more than what Paramount is ready to take over.
As reported earlier by The Post, Paramount is hoping to solve between $ 15 and $ 25 million – that is what Trump agreed to settle the ABC and Disney’s Meta lawsuits recently.
