Journalists from the main news services were forbidden to travel to the Air Force one for President Donald Trump’s high trip to the Middle East-an unprecedented action that was struck by the White House correspondent association.
The exclusion of the Associated Press, Reuters and Bloomberg marks the first time in modern history that no Teli service reporter traveled with the president a visit abroad.
The whca called this action “a dispute for any American who deserves to know what their highest chosen leader is deserves, as soon as possible.”
“The White House pool was created to be a representative of different types of media that serve different readers,” Whca said in a statement.
“Leaving wires is a concern for Americans who need news for their president, especially on foreign trips where everything can happen and the consequences can affect the whole world.”
There were members of other news media at Air Force One, including Fox News host Sean Hannity, who filmed a video on social media defending it as “a great news day” while ranking Trump’s stops in Saudi, Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
Fox News shares common ownership by posting.
The banning wire reporters followed a blockage between the Trump administration and the AP after the exit refused to adopt the favorite bosom of the White House for Mexico Bay.
A federal judge later ordered the entry of the restored AP, but instead of respecting, the White House completely eliminated the wire pool seat.
Whca asked the White House to return the course “for millions of Americans depending on their reporting every day.”
The whca is worried about this new restriction on who can cover this white house and continues revenge for independent editorial decisions, ”the organization said in a statement.
“Whca is protecting that wire -service journalists will return to their seats at Air Force One where they have certainly covered every president for decades, not for us, but for the millions of Americans who depend on their reporting every day.”
The post has requested comment from the White House, AP, Reuters and Bloomberg.
On this trip, Air Force One is reported to have two printed reporters, one correspondent radio, four television journalists and five photographers.
It was unclear which other outputs, except for the Fox News were represented.
Trump is also reported to be considering renaming the Persian Bay as the “Arabic Gulf”, a provocative action that can further escalate tensions with Tehran.
