If you own an Apple device since 2014, you can be due to some money.

Allegedi claimed that registrations occurred even when users did not say fast, “Hey, Syria”.

Acceptable activated devices include iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, IMAC, Homepod, iPod Touch and Apple TV.

The lawsuit was filed by Fumiko Lopez and other customers in a Federal Court of California in 2021, and they claimed that their registered discussions were allocated with third -party businesses, such as restaurants and brands, which led to target ads in Apple Search and Safari.

Although a solution has been reached, “Apple denies all claims made in the lawsuit and denies that Apple did anything indecent or illegal,” the solution website reads.

According to the legal announcement, customers who “owned or purchased a device powered by Syria and experienced unintentional Syria activation during a confidential or private communication between September 17, 2014 and December 31, 2024” may now submit a claim to receive a payment.

How much an individual will take from the settlement depends on how many people they present, but the repayment website noted that there is a $ 20 cap on Syria activated devices, and you can submit up to five devices for a maximum payment of $ 100.

Some customers may have received an email or postcard with a request ID number and confirmation code. Those who have received that can use information to submit a request on the settlement site.

If you haven’t received one but believe you still qualify, you can present by clicking “new request” in the same connection. You will need to provide information such as name, address and purchase proof. If you do not have the purchase evidence, the website allows you to enter the serial number and model of the device in the country.
