Exclusive | EMF blocking products are large now-how to separate it useful from hype

Nothing but ‘net.

Electromagnetic fields are around us power plants and home appliances produce extremely low EMFs, while mobile phones and Wi-Fi equipment emit radiofrequency EMF.

The general consensus in medical and scientific communities is that low-frequency EMFs do not pose a significant health risk, while research continues on the effects of exposure of Radiofrequency EMF.

Increasing concerns about EMF risks have sparked an attack of products designed to block radiation, from laptop pads, telephone posters and protective paint to hooded ponchos and even silver fiber skibs.

In a market saturated with EMF protection tools, knowing what really works-and what is just shiny waste is harder than ever.

Functional medical practitioner Will Cole, who advises Gwyneth Paltrow and other celebs, told the post he receives a “medium -sized view” to soften EMF.

He leaves his cellphone out of his bedroom when he sleeps, turn off Wi-Fi at night and connects his laptop to work online through Ethernet, not Wi-Fi.

He also sometimes holds his phone in a Faraday bag, designed to block radio signals such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Cell phones cannot receive calls or texts in these bags because the conductive material redistributes electromagnetic energy.

“There is enough research there that I am taking a more preliminary, conservative approach around it,” Cole said. “I know that more exposure is not better. It’s not helping me at all, so I want to limit it as much as possible.”

Only this week, a summary of 52 animal studies suggested a possible link between exposure to mobile phone radiation and increased risk of certain cancers in laboratory animals.

The findings pushed scientists from the International Commission on the biological effects of the ICBE-EMF to renew their call to governments to strengthen the regulatory limits in wireless radiation.

“Since animal testing results are used by public health agencies for predicting human health risks, these findings are a significant warning to be used by governments to develop science-based mobile phones that are protective human health,” ICBE-EMF leader Ron Melnick said.

FCC has created radiofrequency exposure boundaries for cell phones, Wi-Fi and cell towers, but some groups like ICBE-EMF argue that these boundaries are obsolete and insufficient to protect public health.

Meanwhile, ICBE-EMF recommends keeping mobile phones out of pants pockets, using fixed lines with wires, turning mobile phones into plane mode when not in use and selecting wire links like Ethernet.

Cole said everyone should create their own healthy borders with technology. He compared individual tolerances for “buckets” stressors that may be large or small.

“Many people’s buckets are on the verge of getting the point of taking, and that’s when health problems follow,” Cole explained.

Some people report that they experience headaches, fatigue, dizziness, sleep disturbances and problems focused due to electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), which is not widely known as a medical diagnosis but is gaining more awareness.

“If someone has a smaller bucket, they may have to make more emf softening. They may have to look at things like mold. They may have to look at things like their food a little more specifically,” Cole said.

“But some people can smoke and drink and live a long and healthy life – they are the great people of the bucket.”

An irritable nelly can take drastic measures to reduce their EMF exposure. The character of Michael McKean’s smart but troubled lawyer in “Better Call Saul” wrapped himself in a spatial blanket and avoided the outside world.

A chiropractor who passes from “DoctoreMf” trained an Aussie blue heel to get his sensitivity, and a holistic health specialist at a recent conference of copied biohackers to “sleep on an anti -aging mattress in an EMF building”.

Cole said he usually does not recommend buying equipment to reduce EMF exposure, on the contrary, he works with patients to make “practical, measurable, realistic changes”.

He noted that “there is not much compelling research” that supports EMF blocking equipment, although he has found Faraday technology effective.

What is important is not to go on board and create an “EMF bubble”.

“Having stress and anxiety about EMF is not good for your health,” he said. “We want to be proactive but not too reactionary.”
