CBS marks Emmy’s nomination for the ’60 -minute interview ‘Kamala Harris in the center of Trump’s costume

The controversial interview “60 minutes” at the center of President Donald Trump’s top lawsuit against CBS News is now a program appointed by Emmy.

The names for 46 news and documentary Emmy Awards were notified on Thursday.

“60 minutes” landed several nodes, especially in the extraordinary edited category of interviews for her premium special specialty that presented the then President of Deputy, Kamala Harris and her husband, Governor of Minnesota Walz.

Among the other nominees in that category include CBS interviews with the justice of the Supreme Court Ketanji Brown Jackson and the late Pope Francis, as well as the NBC interview with Celine Dion and ABC interview with Brittney Griner.

“It is certainly nominated for the best editing because it requires a serious talent to modify Kamala’s response to something that is coherent and understandable, which in the end they still failed to do,” White House communication director Steven Cheung told Fox News Digital.

Neither CBS News nor representatives for Trump’s legal team responded to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.

Last fall, Trump filed a $ 10 billion lawsuit (since then increased to $ 20 billion) against CBS News and its parent company, Paramount Global, for what he claimed was electoral intervention in the way the network handled his interview in the days that led to the presidential election.

Judicial proceedings stem from an exchange that Harris had with the “60 -minute” correspondent Bill Whitaker, who asked him why Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not “listening to” Biden administration.

Harris mocked the answer to the answer “Salad with Words” that was transmitted to a preliminary clip of the interview on “Face the Nation”.

However, when Whitaker asked the same question during special premiums, Harris had a different, more concise answer. Critics at the time they accused CBS News of editing Harris’s “Word Salad” response to the then president of anger from further reactions leading to election day.

At the beginning of this year, the chairman of the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Brendan Carr ordered CBS News to submit the unprecedented interview transcript as part of his investigation if the network violated the FCC news policy after a complaint was raised.

CBS had refused to release the unprecedented transcript when the controversy began for the first time.

The transcript and the issued raw images showed that the two Harris comment groups came from the same response, but CBS News had only aired the first half of her response to the “Face The Nation” viewing clip and aired the second half during special premiums.

In the months since then, CBS News has faced unrest. Shari Redstone, the paramount controller’s shareholder, is reported to be in favor of resolving the lawsuit with the President.

Many believe that a solution would help open the way to the planned unification of Paramount with Skydance Media in the hope of preventing the possible punishment by Trump’s FCC, which has the authority to stop the multibilion dollar transaction.

Both parties agreed to mediation, which is currently underway, signaling their quarrel in the courtroom will result in a solution.

Redstone not only wanted to say that “keep the tabs” in future segments involving Trump, it reportedly asked CBS to delay any sensitive reporting for Trump until after the closed Skydance Union Agreement.

Speculation was affirmed by reporters at CBS Evening News and “60 minutes”, who welcomed the beloved network manufacturer in the air while addressing Trump’s close lawsuit.

An internal of CBS News told Fox News Digital that everyone on the network is “on the advantage” for the constant drama.

“No one knows the other shoe that will fall,” they said Fox News Digital. “And inside, it’s just very chaotic because everyone doesn’t know what will happen next.”

CBS employees believe Trump’s lawsuit is “BS” and that no one wants to see Paramount to be resolved. Some are even “scared” for the prospect of a solution, believing they will “damage the news sharing and its perception”.
